Springfield Post 7327
The Springfield VFW Post 7327 was established in 1946 and has been serving the Northern Virginia area ever since. We are the Combat Veterans who help other Veterans who are not able to help themselves. We are the volunteers who are there when needed. We work with deploying units to provide support, family follow-up, care packages, and more.
We visit the long-term care unit at the veteran’s hospital in Washington, D.C. where we provide a tiny bit of entertainment playing a little Bingo with those who can join us, always ensuring everyone leaves “a winner”. We also stop by and visit those confined to their beds giving a friendly smile and a fellow veteran a chance to tell you some great stories. We have a few comrades who are residents of the long-term care unit.
The volunteers’ here at the Springfield Post are very active in the community along with our Auxiliary members. The Post is a strong and active supporter of numerous children and young adult community organizations including Scouting, Girl Scouts, Little League Baseball and the Adopt-a-Highway program. When requested, we provide morale visits to local military hospitals in the Washington National Region.
We are a 501(c)(19) Veteran charitable organization. We take pride in donating better than 90% of our fund-raising activities to help Veterans and the Community.
